John the Baptist - Archeological Proof
Southern Israel: Tzuba Kibutz. On August 16th, 2004, a team of archeologists have discovered a cave, which they believe proves the physical existance of John the Baptist.

The head archeologist of the team was called Simon Gibson. The experts used forensic science techniques in order to prove the association between the cave and the biblical character. The study was financed by the University of North Carolina, US.

Inside the 84 square meters cave, they discovered a basin, which they think was used by John to baptize its disciples.

John the Baptist is a very important character in the Bible. He is the one who baptized Christ. This happened before the Lord started His mission on this Earth.
